Default Tough Start For Birds!

We're going to find out how good we are right out of the gate. The Orioles first nine games in April are with the Twins, Tigers and Yankees. And before the end of the month we play ten games with Toronto, Boston and Cleveland. We play seven games with KC and TB and then on the last day of the month we play Detroit again.

Cabrera should get five starts in April, I hope he finds his control in ST.

Indeed... Cabrera without control against good teams would be a scarry thought....

The start will be tough... but if we could even be close to .500, with this team, you would have to be happy about that...

Our success depends on 5 things: Erik Bedard, Kris Benson, Daniel Cabrera, Adam Loewen, and Jaret Wright.

We usually make it through April okay and sometimes May. It's the rest of the season that kills us!

I would not put any faith into Wright or Benson.... our better hope would be a young arm in the rotation to replace one of those... at least a young arm like Penn would have hope, where these guys have none

From what I saw of PENN's few MLB starts, he's got a very long way to go before he can even be compared with BENSON. WRIGHT is simply a ??????????? because of constant injuries.

Penn may have a long way to go (as wittnessed form last year's starts)... but he has good talent and promise...

I have no faith in Benson whatsoever... I's sooner bring a 60 year old Jim Palmer out of retirement than watch Benson.... Wright is a huge ???? that never showed much before he was a ?????? He was basically a 1 year wonder in ATL after a spotty career as a 5th starter at best

Didn't WRIGHT have an impressive showing for the INDIANS in the playoffs and series a few years ago OR am I thinking of someone else?

He has only pulled it together for a season once in his career.... his career ERA, besides the one good year in ATL, is over 5

Here is to hoping Mazzone can pull Wright together!
