Orioles vice president Jim Duquette told the Baltimore Sun that the club is still looking to offer a veteran outfielder an incentives-based deal. Possibilities include free agents Shannon Stewart, Ryan Klesko, Trot Nixon and Aubrey Huff. The Orioles are still trying to work out a three-way trade involving pitcher Rodrigo Lopez to land Tigers’ outfielder Marcus Thames. (updated: 12/12/2006)
Now Huff I would be interested in... OF, 1B, and 3B are all positions he can play. I like that versatility.... POSSIBLY Stewart... but Klesko is what, 35? Nixon is no longer an every day player... Getting rid of Lopez would not be a bad thing... even if it is only for a pretty crappy player in Thames

Ryan Klesko's legs are gone, he has no power anymore. Trot Nixon would be a good bench player, but only if he would take a pay-cut, which I know he won't.
Shannon Stewart is an interesting option, because he's been really good at times and just mediocre at others. Obviously Aubrey Huff is the most appealing of the four, as he can play 1B, 3B, LF, RF, and DH. On top of that he's still fairly young, and swats some monstrous homeruns.

Huff would be a good addition for you guys. The Phillies are reportedly also interested, but he would play more for the Orioles than the Phillies, unless we get rid of our current stiff in LF.
