Cubs are looking at Roberts

If this deal is true it would be another chance at a new lineup.
Roberts at this time is my favorite player,excellent baserunner
& has a little pop at the plate.They had a deal for Roberts last
yr. that would have netted the o,s some talent but Angelos
nixed the trade.

If he is traded it will be proof that macphail is running the team
& Angelos has backed off.if they are really going to rebuild &
start over younger,I,m for it but if the owner insists on keeping
an iron hand on running the team.It will be same ole same ole./

We will find out in the next few weeks who,s running the show.
It will be an intresting winter.Will it be Macphail or Macfail.

Talks stall on trade for Roberts :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Cubs

a supposed 7 or 2 deal with Roberts and Bedard going to the Cubs, and supposedly Angelos nixed it.

That would have built up the farm system, and would have trumped the quantity that Cabrera+Willis rendered.

He will go sometime during this pre-season or before the AS break... .I like the guy, but in a rebuilding effort, it may be a necessity that he goes
