Are there any MM fans out there? I like Mark and would really like to see him race all year but I just don't think he will. Just saw a interview with him and he said he's going to stick to the plan which is to only race so many times this year but not the full schedule.
What do you think he should do? Go 17 Go!!! ![]() |

Golf has a requirement that those trying to participate at the highest level are required to compete in a certain number of tourneys. Does NASCAR have this same requirement?
If he thinks that he has a better chance of winning by racing only twice a month he should do so, my biggest question though is if the points system would allow him to be in The Chase at the end of the season using this method.

I would love to see Martin finish up the season. He is doing great so far this season a 2nd and two 5th place finishes.

I think if he is in the top three in points he is going to have a real tough time deciding. If he is 6th on back I don't think he will have as tough as time.
The thing that surprises me most about Martin this year is how good he is doing driving for Ginn Racing. Although Ginn Racing has some sort of parts relationship with Hendrick racing. They historically have never been successful and even this season their other two drivers Nemechek and Marlin are #20 and #30 in the points standings compared to Martin's first place standing. That just goes to show you what Martin is still capable of doing I guess. |

He will probably drop down to about 15th or so in the points. |

Well maybe Marlin but Nemechek doesn't really do that good at Bristol. Mark has had 1 top ten outta the last 8 at Bristol while Sterling has had 3 in those same 8 races. Nemechek has only one win in his carrer at a short track and Marlin has notta. Mark Martin can lay claim to 7 short track wins and 47 top 5s along with 76 top 10s. |
