Keith Tkachuk traded for mulitple picks

IMO, Atlanta overpaid for both Tkachuk and Zhitnik. Makes Nonis look like a genuise lol.

I would agree with you Nazzy, but after his debacle last season of guaranteeing that the Thrash would make the playoffs, I think he felt hemmed in by his own words.

If the Thrash don't make the playoffs or get bounced early, that could mean the end of the Waddell era in Atlanta

Well, with the Thrashers being swept in the first round -- the move (made specifically for a playoff run) was proven to be an error in the short term.
