ATLANTA -- Atlanta Thrashers defenseman Andy Sutton is expected to miss at least two months because of an ankle injury that will require surgery to repair.

Sutton, set for surgery Tuesday, was injured in practice Nov. 27 and missed the last three games. An MRI revealed a torn tendon. The 31-year-old Sutton has one goal and seven assists in 25 games for the first-place Thrashers.
