My gut feeling is that everything hinges on the Teixeira deal. I would think once/if it goes through - the smaller deals will fall in very quickly. I think JS is holding out to hopefully include a RP with Tex....and if it falls through, I'd guess he has a SP lined up somewhere.

Athough, all this parity makes it more and more difficult each season.

I don't think we stand a bat's chance in hell getting Gagne now that the Yanks have expressed interest. Apparently, they're loaded with pitching prospects too.

I don't think the Texas deal, if it goes through, will be the only one for JS. Hopefully, there will be (one?) some small surprises.

We're in a swoon, but I still hold out hope that we will go through a *hot streak* and it will come at a good time (any time is okay baseball gods - we're more than ready). If not for that hope, watching these game would be the ultimate pain.

Let's see, we've lost Hampton, Gonzalez, Aybar, AJ.......and it's a struggle now for Smotz. We need some Divine Intervention !
