Mets starting to panic? (or at least worry)

The Mets have named Rickey Henderson (yes, that Rickey Henderson) as a midseason replacement for hitting coach Rick Down.

Does anybody think this is a bit of a knee-jerk reaction to the Mets latest struggles. I do, but anything that gets Rickey closer to baseball gets Rickey closer to a camera so Rickey can spend more time talking about Rickey. For the potential entertainment value, I love this move.

Well anyone who could break Cobbs record knows something about that skill. The question is can he get it across to the players. Wonder if they're gonna reunite him with his clubhouse card partner from the late 90s next.

I think this is an excellent move by the Mets to bring Rickey back.
