Was just cruising the standings breakdown on Sportsline and
no one is more than + 1 game above or below .500 in intradivisional play! Its still anyone's division. Who'da thunk that!

Ours for the taking if we can exert even a little more dominance than the rest of the teams (or most of the rest of them).
Right now, we need to leapfrog the Mets and/or keep the Phillies at bay — all the while hoping that one team and one team only separates itself from the NL West pack with any distinction. But, at the very least, we can assume with a relative amount of safety that the NL Central will not be contributing two teams to the NL postseason. |

I think both the D'backs and Padres will be there all year out west, so I'm certainly keeping my eye on the division.

Yeah, I know, jpx7. I was kind of half serious, half kidding when I said that. There are times when I'm quite sure we couldn't win the College WS and there are other times I see the rest of the league playing very average and I think, we could get on a tear and leave everyone else in the dust.

Another factor is da Muts have a couple of Division (WAS & PHI) makeup games to play & that won't happen until we get back to Divisional play. That is going to further tax their pitching.
