He definately "irritated" that pinky on the swing. YOu could see him wince before ever running. BUt the the guys on FSN are speculating that it may be an apparent shoulder injury. Whatever it is, John did NOT want anyone reading his lips because he did the glove over the mouth to tell Bobby what was wrong. That concerns me.

Or, maybe he didn't want to say the bad word on TV.

I pray it's not the shoulder - the stretches would not have helped the pinkie, but that ulnar nerves runs from the wrist right up to the shoulder, so it could be anything, I guess.

Brewer's announcers say broken pinkie pfor Smoltz, Sciambi says an apparent arm injury. That would be a pfirst to break yer pinkie on a ball hit off the end of the bat.
