18-15 in our last 33. That's a .545 win percentage, which would equal 88 wins over the course of a season.
And no, I didn't figure that out before making that post in another thread yesterday. Just worked out that way.

Andruw is scratched from tonight's game due to a sore back. Part of that soreness must be from his OVERswing each time at the plate - trying to hit it out. I hope someone takes him aside and tells him to, for awhile, just hit a single.
It's getting frustrating watching him - I know he works hard, but he should be snapping out of this by now, wouldn't ya think?

Did you catch any of the Yankees/Mets game today? I thought the NYY might pull it out in the 9th, but no such luck for the Bravos. This series is starting a tough stretch of games our team is heading into - and a crappy time for the team to play sub-par.

woo-ho Frenchie hits a screamer down the left field line and Brian Mcann lops on home and he's SAFE!! 6-0 good guys.
I hope we play them like they played us this afternoon. We have a good chance to win tomorrow, and if the Mets lose to the Yanks - we'll only be 1 1/2 games back (I think).

Smoltzie has a chance for a CG shut-out, but with the rain coming harder, he may not get that chance. 9-0 in the 7th - with the Sox line-up it's not a sure thing. KJ with a triple now. 11-0.

Returning the favor now. If the Yankmees will do something tommorrow like stomp the crap out of the Mutts and Hudson pitches like Smoltzie has we can get something out of this weekend.
