Probably what he did was go to the meetings and find out that he coudln't afford to do anything. that's what he got done.
Seriously though, I guess we will see what happens in December. If nothing gets done there you have to think we will probably limp into the season with big holes again this year. |

Let's hope he set the groundwork for deals that will come starting Dec. 4 at the Winter Meetings. At our current payroll, we'll not be a player in any free agent market, so the trade route is the only one.
I do think JS went to the GM meetings with intentions of coming back with Scott Linebrink. I think Kevin Towers (being very smart), is just delaying something they both know will happen, in hopes of getting a better offer. |

I think the limbo that the ownership is in now is going to hamstring JS this winter. The payroll is vague at best, Hampton is going to tie up 16 mill coming off of reconstructive surgery, and Druw needs to be resigned not to mention the Giles thingaflatchie.
