Default We Are Spoiled?

Someone seems to think so:

There's no question that most were spoiled. In all honesty, while I think we've improved, to think that we are not going to have problems with Philly and NY this year also, is just wishful thinking. Our season depends on to many "If's"..

If KJ can handle 2B
If Hampton comes back strong
If Hudson actually finds what he had in Oakland
If Chipper stays healthy
If Andruw doesn't change his game because of impending free agency

Too many damn if's!

If we don't hurry up and find some decent ownership, we may get to experience both ..... been thru that in the 70's and 80's, I'll take spoiled!

Hey Noc, don't forget the Pirates also signed Dan Kolb to a minor league contract. If that doesn't spell "worst to first" for the Bucs, I don't know what will! With the dreaded combo of LaRoche and Kolb, Pirates fans might as well get their WS tickets now.

I agree that decent ownership could definitely help to avoid the teams of the 70's and late 80's. That period was definitely something I don't want to see happen again.

I think what LaRoche is employing here is sour grapes rationalization. Not being a psychologist, I could be wrong, of course.
