Yup, that's how I got banned. It was right after that huge thread where a whole bunch of people were disagreeing with him over something or other; he might have been feeling a bit touchy at the time. He told me that it was his site and that I was "threatening his livlihood" with my comments. If that's true, I guess his book isn't selling all that well.
Back to Giles- I absolutely love his game and would hate to see him go. In the end it all comes down to how much he demands and what the Braves think he would bring in a trade. But we need to be very wary about getting rid of any infielders considering Chipper's fragile nature over the last few years and Renteria's poor play. |

I warned you.....
And no, it wasn't me..........I live far too south of such a perpetraitor. OTOH, I am not surprised BS is trying to garner a few friends, as all he seems to have on Scout is the young ones.....hmmmmm..............I wonder....... I wouldn't be surprised to see him register on this one just to keep an eye on those he would like to keep in line over there. It's too bad about Marcus. He plays a good game, he's worth a few bucks getting tossed his way. But I think this club is just to in tune with paying everyone less than 4 mil per unless they're a pitcher or been here a long time. Too bad, I'll dislike watching him leave. |

Since this has turned into the bash Scout thread, did anyone else see that they added the word 'Fanhome' to the swear filter?

Like I said, I've never had a problem with him but I've never really interacted with him either. But if what you guys are saying is the way he does things, he really needs to grow up and worry about his own business. |

Apparently subversive individuals like rrandom pose a threat to scout.com's livelihood even once properly sequestered in "unspeakable" places like fanhome. "Spying" or "snitching" among internet message boards, if true, is a great example of the stuff that made the "other" board become so oppressively vapid and mired in petty arguments and politics.
Needless to say, leaving scout is a much easier decision than losing Giles; personally, I think the decision has to be contingent on the club's plans for Andruw, as well as the package offered by San Diego (or any other club) and the trade's overall location in the off-season stratagem. |

I will really hate to loose A. Jones more than Giles, but I can understand not wanting to deal with Boras. You can figure that regardless of how much you offer Boras will not except it. He always wants his clients to hit free agency. I'm sure A. Jones will be a free agent next off season, and I don't think the Braves could afford to get into a bidding war for him. |
