Good to see Huddy getting some well deserved support tonight. Saddened to see Chipper leave with a bad hammy. More good news--French raised his average a point. Thank God for that minor league stint!
At any rate, it's nice to go into the ninth on the good side of a laugher. |

Geez, we can't even make a blowout look easy in the ninth. Thanks Buddy. Nice game by Huddy. Only six games back now. Start saving your money for those playoff tix.

Good series, as long as Chip and Huddy's injuries aren't serious.
With that series, we now have a winning record in road games not decided by one-run (17-16), to go with with our winning record at home regardless of the run differential. And then there's that damned 0-17 record in one-run road games...

You got that right, Snowman. It seems every game we play, I keep wondering if this will be the game Chipp gets hurt again. I really thought he was going to stay healthy this time, although I have nothing on which to base that hope. I hope we get good news on both he and Huddy. |

I thought this might be his year as well, dice. They said they finally found some orthotic shoes that helped with his foot problems at the end of '06, and his only significant injury problem in '07 was that flukish hand injury he received jumping over Nady on the basepaths and landing on his palms. It just seemed to make sense. And now it's a hammy.
