It was a done deal in the 1st when the 3 runs went up. Campillo, while not overwhelming, was solid enough to keep the popgun Pads in check & the 6th made it anticlimatic. The O was good & took a lot of pitches with the exception of Sir Swingsalot who didn't swing at the 1st pitch in only 1 of 5 ABs; the only time he reached base (lost $5 bucks to my daughter when I bet on him swinging). McCann HBP gave me a scare, but didn't he hurt himself last yera the weekend before the A/S break too? Of course, Campillo fouling a pitch off his foot was another footnote to this bizarre season. Huddy in relief was a surprise, but I told my daughters early on that anyone could pitch today. Gonzo got hit hard early, Headley crushed his HR & Gerut's 3Ber was a shot as well. What remained of the Pad crowd woke up breifly when that happened. Otherwise a great day for Bravos baseball.
