Well that puts a poignant note to this season... a tomahawking cow? Its not bad enough we suck on the road now we'll be a joke at home! They can't be that desperate for $$$! I don't think even Ted "silly promotions r us" Turner would've thought this one up!

They picked the wrong animal. Shoulda been a Hawk named Tommy (ala minor leagues). At least the fans will have something with which to take their mind off the game, should we continue to play as we have the last six games.

To be honest, I really don't understand why people are so bothered by this. It is no different than the big Coke bottle, pools, slides, trains and other crap that are put in stadiums. The Braves lost Coke sponsorship of Skyfield and the Lexus sponsorship of the club level. This is one of the ways teams make money. I really see no problem with it and it nothing to do with the product on the field.

Perception IS everything Niki. In short, REALLY bad timing on the clubs part. I hate Deion Sanders even more now!

To be fair to the team, this has been in the works for a while. I knew something about it last season when it was first believed to be totally replacing the Coke bottle.
