Surprisingly Doggie was quoted as saying he'd like to see Smoltzie pitch again, more wishful thinking IMO. Smoltzie being stubborn could make that happen.
BTW after his 7 inning, 1 run, 69 pitch ND outing last night, Doggies ERA stands at 1.73 over his last 6 starts but only 1 W!

Isn't that a shame, Nado? The same thing seemed to happen here. Maddog would pitch 7-8 great innings and leave with a one run lead and end up with a ND. Seems like that happened a lot but maybe I've just got selective memory. I always felt with a little more run support here, he could have had maybe 30 more wins.

Yeah, Doggie was always victimized by the pen a lot when he was here.
