A quick look at the paper today showed me that, while our away record is the worst in the Majors, very few teams (5) have a winning record on the road. Most of the teams that do have an above .500 road record are only above by a game or two. The Angels have the best road record by far at 16-10. On the plus side for us, quite a few teams are close to us in road futility, so if we can start playing .500 ball away from home, we can soon NOT be the worst away team in baseball. It seems that there is more balance in the league at this point than in past years (just a guess on my part) so if we can get hot on the road, we'll have no trouble winning the division.

There's no point in watching this team on the road. Another loss...another one-run loss.
Why Bobby stuck with Huddy for the 8th when he led off the inning is beyond my comprehension.

The problem is that Bob always defers to the vets. "How do you feel Huddy, can you go another innning?" "Yeah, Bobby, I feel fine, I can go another inning."
Unless he was asleep in the dugout, Bob would have noticed that Huddy did not breeze through the 7th. A good manager brings in the fresh arm while we still have the lead. Maybe the BP blows it anyway, but it was the right move. Same thing happened with Glav yesterday. Bob leaves him to get the final out in the 5th (or Glav is too stubborn to come out) so he qualifies for the win - but any other (young) pitcher would have been pullled after struggling that much. Huddy pitched fine, but he looked alittle gassed to me.

Bob probably pfarted when Huds was in the dugout.....JJ got pulled a couple days ago with one more out to get to qualify pfor the win, just sayin'......Then again if Boob hadn't pitched the only two guys he has any pfaith in pfor two innings each on Monday, he might have pfelt better about takin' the Hudster out.

Are yee agreein' or disagreein' with me? Bob pulled JJ - he's young. Was he getting blisters too? Or, am I confusing the reason he was pulled with Campillo and Reyes' blisters? Wasn't JJ's pitch count high?
JJ was ticked for being taken out. I would have left him in. ![]()

What do you care?? We are talkin' about JJ and not JoJo rat? Ah guess ah'm agreein' wid ya. He gives the older pitchers too much say in how long they want to pitch. And ah was just pointin' out, once again, that the Bobble is gettin' old and daft, course he never was or will be a great in game manager.

My biggest gripe was not with keeping Huddy in, but intentionally walking the bases loaded in the 8th. The guy they walked was 1-3 on the day while the guy they pitched to was already 2-3 and an rbi. Bobble always loads the bases like that and, while I understand the so-called reasoning of having a force at all bases, it always seems to back fire on us. I stopped following the game after that walk. I also agree that Huddy should have been through after the 7th or at least after the hit and double in the 8th.

After reading today's game preview, I couldn't believe my eyes 20 consecutive 1 run road losses since Aug 07! That's unreal. We would join the likes of KC in futility with one more!!
