Didn't Chipper bring a 1st baseman's mitt with him to Spring Training a few years ago? Obviously nothing came of it, but he was apparently open to the idea.

I don't have a link - you'll just have to trust me on this. Chipper has stated that he does not feel comfortable on the right side of the field. Although he is a switch hitter, I believe he is naturally right-handed, learning to hit from both sides. Don't you think we need a LH 1b?

As long as Cox is the manager, I see him honoring CJ's request to remain on the left side of the ballfield. I would rather see our youth at 1b as opposed to switching Chipper's position again. Although, Thorman does not excite me.

Yeah, letting Marcus walk is going to be a big mistake, no matter how the JS apologists spin it.

I've heard the rumors, but do you guys really think that will happen?

If it does I heard it was to happen tomorrow. (Tuesday)

I have no doubt if someone doesn't take him in a trade (why would they knowing this), that the Braves will non-tender him. There seems to be things going on with this that are non-baseball issues. (assumption made here)
