Norton's pretty slick around the bag, huh?

We need Teixeira back, for defense if for nothing else.

And, we aren't very smart hitters - or else these guys would get batted over more consistently. Time to kick some butt.

I've said this before, but why does every team use the Braves to wake up their slumping hitters? Delgado..Howard.. (Druw)

See...Victorino, too.

You know, even including pitchers, our offense has a .283/.351/.437 line, and a .307 EqA (prior to tonight's game).

They've been a bit unlucky, though... We've scored 180 runs on the season. According to every metric, it should be more. RC (the 2002 version) says we should have scored 186. XR says we should have scored 224. And Base Runs (my personal favourite) says it should be 194.

I'll say it here (as to avoid the many flames on the other side), but if our future rotations include Jo Jo Reyes and Chuck James, it's time for a case or two of Pepto. They suck, period.

We have borderline pitching and streaky hitting. Can't understand how we are in the top three in ERA - (NL) - and still manage to lose so many games.

Eh, I wouldn't go that far. James is pretty much (ERA-wise, anyway) a league average #3 starter. His inability to pitch more than 5 innings without falling apart makes him a #4 or 5 instead, but that still has value.

Reyes, I have no clue. I know that his minor league performance makes him look like a future major league contributor, and his major league performance makes him look like he needs at least another year in the minors. He's either going to be a Vidro-style late bloomer, or a career 4-A minor league journeyman, and I don't know which.
