Evening folks.
"Post hoc, ergo, post propter hoc." Which, loosely translated from the Latin means, " After, Therefore, Because of it." I don't know what this means in respect of this young season, but I DO know that Andruw Jones is apparently in the middle of a slump of GALACTIC proportions, Furcal is looking like an MVP candidate, Chipper IS an MVP, old pitchers breakdown, sore elbows must be as infectious as mononucleosis, Jurrjens HAS to be 27, and I pray to whatever Gods there may be that we will eventually put .500 distant in the rearview mirror. But I digress... Two men lean in from the high ground: Lineups arehere. Hudson vs. Wolf. Lineups arehere. Kibbitz... GO>>>>

After tomorrow night's game, the season will be 20% gone. For Chipper to still have the numbers he has after nearly a fifth of a season is just incredible. I've seen player's this hot many times, but I cannot recall having ever seen one this hot for this long.

I took a deeper look just now at his numbers, and a chill went down my spine. He's not just Lingering In The Zone, he's just absitively gone stark raving MAD.
Who hits safely in 43% of 115 ABs? His OPS is 1.220. Egads.

Time to welcome Wolf back to the NL East in proper style! Pop gun Padres vs Huddy. Mee likey! Though Giles, Edmonds & Gonzales have had some luck against him. Pads BP getting thin; just called up Shawn friggin Estes (93 Gnats) to fill the slot lost when Cameron was hurt last night. With long reliever Ledezma pitching tomorrow & Rusch burned last night, not much at home in the pen for SD.

Yup.... hitting .425 and on pace for 31 doubles, 52 homers, 152 ribbies, and 120 runs. That's just insane, 1930-level production, and for a somewhat significant period of time.

Wheels getting wobbly here guys! Bear down, they've had enough breaks for one day.
Only 1 run, could've been much worse! OK O let's get Wolf NOW!
