Huds with an 87 pitch 2 hitter after 7, 10 k's and 0 bb's....Volquez pitched well and Dusty does the right thing and takes him out after 99 pitches. Kotsay with a single off the new pitcher Affeldt.

Hey, GBF. Hey, all. If John can't start then the best place for him is in the pen. If he holds up, we'll have the closing roll set for the rest of the season. 'Course, we need another starter---.

Seconded.

There is no doubt he can dominate at the end of games as well as at the beginning; I just wish he could handle those middle parts for us, because we could use a top-three of Hudson/Smoltz/Jurrjens more than a bottom-three of Smoltz/Soriano/Gonzalez.
