Not surprised. I wasn't sure why he was even in camp. Good to see Jo-Jo go down. Are there more cuts or is that it?

At least Javy got play his last game in a Braves uniform. It was nice of the team to give him one last shot, although they probably knew it was an exercise in futility.

I'm guessing Peña is the back-up catcher in Atlanta – unless Wren tries to fill this position by way of trade. It seems much more likely Sammons returns to AAA, while Miller is by far the worst option remaining.

Well dice, there is another cut pfer shur, but probably not until the night before the regular season starts. I think there is still a couple extra infielders and 4 or 5 pitchers that need to be decided.

Sammons is probably the best defensive catcher left, Pena the worst, hard to tell which way old Bobble will blow on this one tho. Miller was outstanding yesterday with that doofus Drese throwing tho.

Well, I believe I read Peña has thrown out all six base-runners who've hazarded to move pforward on base — perhaps he has improved enough defensively to convince the Braves he is a viably back-up, which perhaps also precipitated López's departure.

I'd be perfectly happy to never see Pena never catch another game in a Braves uni... His arm has never been his main problem. It's the fact that he turns strikes into balls with the way he snatches at pitches, and the fact that he can't remember the signs.

Shanks also used to say Kelly Johnson wouldn't stick with the team during 2005 (because he was blocked by Ryan Langerhans).
