Hell, I thought the sum***** should have pitched his way off of the team in August of '06, yet here we are, a year and a half later...

I can't believe there's a chance Cox keeps Yates over Boyer or Resop; none of the three may end up preventing runs at a phenomenal rate, but it is pretty clear which pitcher promises negative upside.

Pitchers that throw hard seem to be a bit like lefty relievers... they get a million chances to prove they don't belong in the majors.

"He's not wild; he's just [narrowly] missing," Cox said of Yates, who has a 12.00 ERA with nine walks and seven hits allowed in six innings.

Or has the sudden frost disturbed its bed? If it wasn't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college.
