He was released by the Seattle Mariners.

Kind of a sad statement on Bavasi the GM.

Bavasi is, IMO, one of the worst GMs in the game. Just awful.

The deal where he sent Guillen to Detroit for Ramon Santiago and someone totally unmemorable in order to make rook for the newly signed Rich Aurilia was the point at which I started noticing how truly bad he was.
