So the ole Omni Hotel (now CNN Center) took a hit; that's windy & a lot of glass blowing around to boot. As I remember downtown ATL had plenty to blow around. Our big winds (35-40 MPH - non Santa Ana variety) are due tomorrow night. From the weather channel there was another big cell about to hit ATL as well right after that one.

So pfar no reports of any fatalities, 30 injured. They are searching one building that collapsed, that had been turned into a bunch of loft apts. SEC Basketball tourney will be played at Tech due to damage to the Dome. Home Show cancelled due to damage to the World Congress Center. St. Paddy's day parade cancelled for today.

I hope everybody is still doing okay. This afternoon has been worse than last night. I have never seen this in the Atlanta area before. It's just crazy. It seemed at one point around 3:30-4:00pm that the whole metro area was under a tornado warning.

On a more serious note, it appears two people were killed in Northern Georgia. Living in the midwest, tornadoes are all too common. I've never experienced anything too serious in terms of damage or physical harm, but there have been some devastating storms roll through my area on several occasions.
