I'd rather have Roberts as I think he's a better fit for the role that we'd need him to play which is Lead Off hitter. Marcus just doesn't seem comfortable with the role and Edgar is a superior #2 hitter anyway.
The market has shown that Marcus Giles is going to get a considerable contract larger than what the Braves will pay him. I'm a big Hayden Penn and not a big Adam LaRoche fan at all, so I'm cool with both aspects of this deal, but I agree that it likely won't happen.

Heard Pat Gillick on XM Radio this morning. They were asking about rumors between Philly and Baltimore. He made a point of saying doing anything with Baltimore takes time because of their structure. Then he had a great quote "you've gotta get to the king before you get anything done". Having been in Baltimore, you know he was speaking from experience and frustration. I did not think anything would come to pass on these Baltimore rumors, now I feel certain that nothing will happen with Baltimore thsi week.
