Yogi I agree.Goose was dominate when he was with the Yankmees,even as screwed up as they were.Nobody and I mean nobody wanted to face him when he was focused in.

I don't care for closers in the Hall, frankly. For me, they have to be truly dominating to overcome the few innings they pitch. Basically, I would have Wilhelm in, Mo Rivera in someday, and no others. No Sutter, no Eckersley, no Gossage, no Hoffman, and certainly no Smith.
The lack of love for Raines surprises me, though. Second greatest leadoff hitter in the history of the game, behind only Rickey. .385 career OBP (11 seasons of .390 or better), more than 800 steals at nearly an 85% success rate. He and Blyleven were the two no-brainers for me. Yet only two of four thus far have him on their ballot.
