Thought I would post this since I know how much you folks like Mike Hampton
Quote:
What are the odds he makes it to the regular season injury free?

He really should call it a career next winter. For some it's just not meant to be.
Then again, there was still a bidding war for Kerry Wood.

The article said part of his contract is covered by insurance. I know the team is paying around $15 million, but it is prorated due to the deal in the trade.
So do we just get lucky and get all the insurance money or is there a clause in the deal giving part of it to the Rockies or Marlins? |

Well, the consensus opinion around baseball is that the Braves are lying, and they didn't have insurance on him last year and don't have it this year.
If they are telling the truth, I'm pretty sure we get it all.
