Per Rotoworld, via ESPN:
ESPN's Peter Gammons is reporting that Tom Glavine has chosen to stay with the Mets on a one-year deal. It looks like the Braves never did make an offer. New York is clearly where Glavine belongs right now. The Mets will still pursue Barry Zito, but the urgency to add him isn't quite what it would have been had Glavine gone home. |

I have mixed feelings about Glavine not coming back. On one hand, I don't believe the Braves are going to be in the mix to compete this year unless some changes are made so it wouldn't make a lot of sense. However, the nostalgic side of me wanted to see Glavine win #300 with a tomahawk across his chest.
I can't blame him for taking the money though.

When I was reading the stuff about dealing Huddy to make room for Glavine, it reminded me of the trade Millwood to keep Maddux. We had him for one year where we could have gotten a lot more production out of Millwood for several years.
