Boston, MA (Sports Network) - The Boston Bruins shipped centre Mark Mowers to the Anaheim Ducks Monday in exchange for defensemen Nathan Saunders and Brett Skinner.
Mowers, who signed a two-year contract with Boston last year, set career-highs last season in games played (78), goals (5) and assists (12). In 261 career games with Nashville, Detroit and Boston, Mowers has compiled 17 goals and 44 assists.
Saunders, drafted by Anaheim in the fourth round of the 2003 NHL Draft, and Skinner, selected in the third round of the 2002 NHL Draft by Vancouver, were both assigned to Boston's AHL affiliate in Providence.

Hopefully, he'll be the player for the Ducks, we hoped he would be in Boston. Overuse by Lewis may have been a big contributor to him looking like crap in his time with the B's
