He'll undoubtedly be up in September, at which time I expect him to be a long man and spot starter.
It occurs to me that Iggy is usually good for an inning or two but may not have enough to be a quality starter in the major leagues (at least not right now.) Given the Yankees' bullpen challenges, what would you think of seeing if he'd be a good setup man? He might be able to handle an inning or two at a time.
They're training Chamberlain as a reliever right now (a role I don't think he'll keep for more than a year or so.) Why not see if Igawa can do it and perhaps get some return on our investment?
