Regardless of that, Pujols' reasons are all wrong. He's being a hypocrite in a sense, as Howard carried the Phillies after Abreu's decline, and got them as close as possible to playoff contention. The fact that the Phillies had a better overall record than the Cardinals (and over .500 with respect to their division opponents) makes his point stronger toward a case that Howard would suggest to make if Pujols won it.

Like I said... he has been a baby as of late. He just won a ring; something that Bonds and Marino would trade any of their MVP/All Star means of recognition for. He has a right to think of this stuff, but after the Glavine incident in the NLCS, and now this? He's just turning into "one of them".
