So, each injury is different, but here is one that avoided surgery. At least this one did not cause DJ to miss the whole season like Ellis did. Hope Piazza heals as fast as Johnson does.
Today's list from Rotoworld on injuries includes R. Howard, J. Mauer, B. Colon, and Zumaya.
Wasn't that wild to hear about Zumaya's injury? Recall last post-season when he strained his hand because he was gripping the ball too tightly? Well, he dislocated the middle finger when throwing this time. I read further that the injury is a ruptured tendon in that dislocated finger. He will be out for months. Self-inflicted stress injury. Amazing.
Lots of frontline players are falling to injury. Colon, Howard, Mauer, Zumaya, etc. Makes the A's not seem so bad while they heal, just to look at the other teams' injuries.
Just when you think you have it bad........
