That's pretty disappointing. I'm not surprised - I'm sure the Yankess pitch was:

A) Andy
B) We need you a lot
C) Joe
D) Money

This will give the Yankees a better rotation in the 2nd half of the season:

Roger
Andy
Wang
Mussina
Hughes?

Might be better than the Sox, might not - big issues are age and can any of them go 7 with regularity? Yankees have not had great success with over 40, once great pitchers - even those who had been great the year before in the NL.

With NY, Roger had an ERA around 3.91. Given what happened with RJ when he came over from the NL, that sounds reasonable. Course, I have no idea - Roger could be amazing, with an ERA around 2.50. He could be mediocre, with an ERA around 4.50. I'm guessing 3.5-4.00, though. That will be a huge help to the Yankees.
