From a statistical standpoint, not having a stud like LT or Pujols really evens the playing field. A lot of studies have been made in this, and they all concluded that if you have a first pick overall in like a Marshall Faulk year (LT this year), you have a huge advantage over all other teams.
I gave fantasy hockey a shot once. My first pick (which was the 4th overall) was Milan Hedjuk. He was a bust that year (two years ago I think). That's when I gave up on Fantasy Hockey.
