Soriano nearing return to lineup:

CHICAGO -- Alfonso Soriano ran with no problems on Friday, and will run again Saturday. The Cubs outfielder is getting close to running onto the field with the rest of the starting lineup.
Soriano, sidelined since Monday night with a strained left hamstring, said he still had some pain in his left leg but was feeling better. He was able to take batting practice Wednesday and Thursday in Atlanta, but hitting isn't the problem.
"It's running -- that's the problem," Soriano said Friday. "I feel it a little bit. We'll see maybe today or tomorrow how I feel and from there play Sunday, and who knows? Maybe tomorrow."

It would be great to have Soriano back in the lineup, he is such a dynamic player. I know he has been stinking it up this season, but it is only the start
. Maybe this weekend we will use him in pinch-hitting situations and hopefully he will be back in the field sometime next week!
