MLS won't have any problem doing this, football kits all over the world have corporate logos, so it is part of the football culture. This isn't the case in baseball and basketball, so the change is what people object to, this is MLS being like the rest of the world...

I was always surprised that they didn't have front kit sposorship.

I just hope that they are not leauge wide deals, the teams need to be able to make these choices themselves, not passed down from the MLS office.
