I don't see the Red Sox traiding Coco. He's signed through 2009 which will give Ellsburry more than enough time to develop. Barring any further injuries to Crisp I expect Ellsburry to be up for a cup of coffee next year, and then up for good in 2008.

Ellsburry is an amazing defender, he has unreal speed, and takes good routes to balls. He is so fast that he was able to run down a deer in high school. He and his friends were playing in the woods and decided to try to catch a deer (don't ask why, Madras is in the middle of nowhere), and he was sucessful.

He has an arm about as good (read: bad) as Damon's, but he'll still be great. He's never going to be a big power guy, but he knows how to use his speed on the bases. I saw an interview recently (but can't find the link) where he said that he is always looking for a triple when he hits the ball to a gap.
