From ESPN :
Quote:
James Dolan told the Knicks that Isiah Thomas' job is safe, and that he's happy with the job he's doing this season, leading the team to a 22-29 record thus far.
Dolan told the Knicks players that Thomas didn't have "anything to worry about right now," a person in the room told The Newark Star-Ledger. To emphasize his point, Dolan reportedly playfully tapped Eddy Curry on the shoulder after making the statement, drawing laughs from everybody in the room. Last week, Curry said that if Thomas wasn't the coach of the Knicks, "I'd be trying to get out of here."

This coming mere days after Eddie Curry came out and said IF Isiah were not brought back as the coach that he would demand a trade out of NY.
Usually owners backing you up are the kiss of deaths for coaches but I believe Dolan and further more I THINK its a good idea to bring Isiah back. The players are just playing hard for him, you can see the difference from last year.
Hopefully Dolan keeps his word and Isiah is back next year.
BUT 1 thing I would NOT be opposed to is getting a new GM. I like Isiah as a coach but as a GM he is pretty bad aside from his draft picks which are excellent.
