I'm not quite sure what effect it would of had on his health, but I do know staying here would of helped his numbers.
Safeco made be the house that Edgar built(because without The Double, the Mariners probably wouldn't even exist today, let alone have Safeco) but it was built for Griffey. From the spacious CF that would of allowed him to showcase his defensive talents even more, to the left handed friendly dimensions.
And yeah, DHing for the Mariners these past few years after Edgar retired would of helped him as well.
