Sure there is consistency here. Heres the formula:
1. Wait till we are completely out of the running... and I mean completely. Foregoing any chance of getting top return out of players.
2. Trade expendable commodities for youth.
3. Watch youth develop and start to show promise or watch them flounder and suck it up.
4. Regardless of how the players progress. Release, DFA or lose to waivers said players asap.
Wash, rinse and repeat.
Its a quick magic act of how to turn something of ranging value into absolutely nothing in less than a years time. Bavasi truly is a magician in that aspect.
