Following trips to the postseason in three of the previous four years, the Angels still have nasty aftertaste in their mouths after missing the playoffs last year. Owner Arte Moreno doesn't shy away from opening up the wallet and he did just that this offseason, adding outfielder Gary Matthews Jr. and reliever Justin Speier among others. They'll join the usual cast of characters led by Vladimir Guerrero in hopes that they can weather a division that isn't getting any less competitive.
