Before the Dynamo had a finalized name, it was rumored that they would be called the Houston Republic FC. There was even a logo drawn up that looked almost like the one I used (Without Sam Houston.) I used brown instead of black because I thought it would look better with orange and light blue than black. I drew the script logo myself, or at least I gave it my best shot.
