Nice job! What an odd career pattern he's had. I wish Dusty had used Bill Swift in that final game of '93 instead of the rookie. Torres came into the game with the same number of walks as strikeouts. Swift had pitched three days earlier, and he had given up just 2 runs in his last 32 innings, including a 3-1, 7 IP, win over the Dodgers to begin that series. He could've gone 4 or 5 innings.
Maybe that game would've been academic if the Giants hadn't batted Bonds at 5th in the order for 120 games that season. In '94, they batted him 5th 30% of the time, which is still too much, but not quite as bad. When you put your best batter and baserunner at #5 in the order, you don't deserve to win anything.
