Default Help with icon identification

When I try to click on a link that should open mediaplayer, most of the time it works fine, but at one site, I get nothing but a blank screen in a new window. (Other people do not have a problem from this link.) To the left of the word "Done" at the left of the lower IE window frame, a symbol appears that looks like an open rectangle, with a wide blue arrow pointing down at it. This displays for a few milliseconds, and this is immediately replaced with a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it. This is apparently trying to alert me to a system fault, using a language that was invented by L. Ron Hubbard, who took it to the grave with him. Anybody know how to interpret this, or if there is a place I can go through these symbols like a book of mugshots and see if I can recognize it?
