i think the main reason Gooden is playing at a higher level is because this is the first time he's spent two years under the same coach in consecutive years. Gooden has never come off to me as a very smart man so I think the steadiness of the preaching of a consistent coaching staff might finally be helping him.

Hopefully, he keeps this up. I too think Varejao is going to be a stud. But he is a RFA after this year and it'd be nice to keep his price down.
