Erat had to be helped off the ice at the end of practice Wednesday after slipping and falling.
Trotz said he believed the forward might have strained a hip flexor after accidentally stepping on teammate Jason Arnott's stick. But the coach said he didn't think Erat would have to miss any time because of the injury.
