I can't for the life of me figure out why Cairo is starting today, and certainly not batting second.

Ichiro had a 3 for 5 night with a steal, a 2 for 4 night with three steals for a total WPA in the past two nights of .401. He already has two hits and a steal today.

Cairo has wasted the two opportunities, killing a rally in the 3rd where Ichiro had a single for an RBI as well as stealing second with two outs.

Cairo for his career is a loser, with a .673 OPS, 3.92 RC/27, -4.69 WPA. He has never even been an average player offensively. He is a replacement level guy. Today, the choice to start him and bat him second has likely cost the team a run.

While that run might not make the difference as Felix is having his worst game of the season, giving up runs for a team with this crappy an offense and a a below average bullpen is a serious mistake.

Miguel Cairo being on the team is a waste of a roster spot. He is literally the least useful player on the ballclub and yet Wilkerson and Norton got moved.
